Marbella, Spain – July 2026 – Women represent one of the fastest-growing groups in endurance and hybrid sports. Participation in disciplines such as HYROX, running, strength training and functional fitness has increased dramatically over the past decade. Yet despite this growth, much of today’s sports nutrition advice, recovery strategies and training recommendations are still based on research that has historically focused on male participants.
BADDAZZ, an independent platform dedicated to women in hybrid sports, is aiming to help change that by launching an international survey that gives female athletes the opportunity to share their real experiences.
The anonymous survey is open to women of all fitness levels, from recreational athletes to competitive racers. It explores topics such as training, recovery, supplementation, nutrition, injury prevention and the everyday challenges female athletes face throughout different stages of life.
Rather than developing products based on assumptions, BADDAZZ believes the sports industry should begin by listening.
“Women’s sport has evolved enormously. But while participation has increased, female athletes still face challenges that often receive too little attention. We believe the first step towards better education, better products and better support is simply asking women about their own experiences.”
Astrid Kramer, Co-Founder of BADDAZZ
The initiative comes at a time when awareness is growing that women experience sport differently throughout their lives. Hormonal fluctuations, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, perimenopause and menopause can all influence training adaptation, recovery, performance and nutritional needs. Yet many female athletes report that existing recommendations still fail to address these realities.
By collecting experiences directly from female athletes, BADDAZZ hopes to contribute valuable insights for coaches, sports scientists, brands, healthcare professionals and the wider fitness industry.
The survey takes approximately three to five minutes to complete, is entirely anonymous and collects no personal health data beyond voluntary responses relevant to athletic performance and recovery.
Once a significant number of responses has been collected, BADDAZZ plans to publish an aggregated report highlighting the most important findings. The report will be freely available and aims to contribute to a broader conversation about improving support for female athletes.
Female athletes from all disciplines are invited to participate, including:
- HYROX
- Running
- Trail Running
- Strength Training
- Functional Fitness
- CrossFit
- Cycling
- Triathlon
- Obstacle Course Racing
- Other endurance and hybrid sports
